Terms of Service
Table of Contents
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation in the SMS notification program operated by Sevens Legal APC ("the Firm," "we," "our," or "us"), a professional law corporation located at 3555 4th Ave, San Diego, California 92103-4912. By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Program Description
Sevens Legal APC operates an SMS notification program to keep clients and prospective clients informed about matters relevant to their legal case or engagement with the Firm. This program provides non-marketing communications exclusively related to your legal matter, including appointment and consultation scheduling, case progress, and procedural notifications.
This is a non-marketing SMS program. We do not send promotional, advertising, or commercial marketing messages through this service. All messages are informational and transactional in nature, directly related to the services you have engaged or are considering engaging with Sevens Legal APC.
Eligibility
To participate in our SMS program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of the United States with a valid U.S. mobile phone number
- Have provided your express written consent by checking the opt-in checkbox on our consent form
- Not be on the National Do Not Call Registry for purposes that would prohibit our non-marketing communications
By participating, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements and that you are the authorized account holder for the mobile number provided.
Opt-In Process
Participation in our SMS program requires your express prior written consent. You opt in by:
- Visiting our consent form at our published opt-in URL
- Providing your mobile phone number in the form field
- Voluntarily checking the non-marketing SMS consent checkbox — this checkbox is not pre-checked and is not required to submit the form
- Submitting the form
Important: Consent to receive SMS is entirely optional. You may submit the form without checking the consent checkbox. Declining to opt in will not affect your ability to receive legal services from Sevens Legal APC.
Upon opting in, you will receive a one-time confirmation SMS message acknowledging your subscription. This confirmation message serves as your receipt of consent.
Types of Messages
As a participant in our SMS notification program, you may receive text messages related to the following non-marketing use cases:
- Appointment Reminders: Reminders for scheduled consultations, meetings, or case-related appointments
- Appointment Confirmations: Confirmations of newly scheduled or rescheduled appointments
- Consultation Confirmations: Confirmation details for initial or follow-up legal consultations
- Case Updates: Non-confidential status updates regarding the progress of your legal matter
- Document Requests: Notifications that documents, signatures, or information are required from you
- Court Date Reminders: Reminders of upcoming court appearances, hearings, or filing deadlines relevant to your case
- General Office Notifications: Operational communications from Sevens Legal APC staff relevant to your matter
All messages will originate from Sevens Legal APC's registered phone number: (619) 430-2355. We will never ask for sensitive personal, financial, or payment information via SMS.
Message Frequency
Message frequency is not fixed and will vary depending on the nature and current status of your legal matter. During active case periods — including periods surrounding scheduled hearings, court dates, or filing deadlines — you may receive multiple messages per week.
During less active periods, messages may be infrequent or minimal. We aim to communicate only when a notification is relevant and necessary to your matter, and we will not send unnecessary or repetitive messages.
Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply to all SMS messages sent to you and received from you as part of this program. These charges are determined by your mobile carrier and your individual wireless plan. Sevens Legal APC does not charge any additional fees for participation in this SMS program.
If you have questions about the costs associated with receiving text messages, we recommend contacting your wireless carrier directly. Sevens Legal APC is not responsible for any charges incurred through your wireless plan.
Opt-Out Instructions (STOP)
You may cancel your SMS subscription at any time by replying STOP, CANCEL, or END to any message received from Sevens Legal APC. Upon receipt of your opt-out request, we will send you a single final SMS confirming that you have been unsubscribed, after which no further SMS messages will be sent to your number.
Processing your opt-out request may take up to 24 hours. During this period, you may receive one additional message before the opt-out is fully processed. If you continue to receive messages after 24 hours, please contact us directly at (619) 430-2355 or jessica@sevenslegal.com.
Important: Opting out of SMS notifications will not affect your legal representation or your ability to receive services from Sevens Legal APC. You will still be reachable by phone and email. We strongly encourage you to keep at least one contact channel active to ensure you do not miss critical case notifications.
Help Instructions (HELP)
If you are experiencing issues with our messaging program or have questions about the messages you are receiving, reply HELP or INFO to any message from us. You will receive an automated response directing you to our support contact information.
You may also reach us directly for assistance:
